Use a reference to answer a specific question

Choose the CSS reference when you need property names, syntax, or a reminder of layout behavior. Choose the Tailwind reference when your project already uses utility classes and you want to express the same design decision in that system.

A cheatsheet is most useful after you know the problem you are solving. For example, a row of buttons that overflows may need wrapping and a sensible minimum width, rather than a smaller font. Look up the relevant layout rule, then test it with your actual content.

Do not apply a class or declaration only because it appears in an example. Styles depend on parent dimensions, writing direction, the cascade, and the other rules in your project. Our learning roadmaps explain those relationships in more detail.
